NEVILLE ROCHOW

Neville has an LL.B (Hons) and an LL.M from the University of Adelaide in evidence and constitutional law and an LL.M from Deakin University in trade practices law and policy. He is a Member of South Australian, New South Wales and Victorian Bars, practicing principally in the Federal and Supreme Courts. he has appeared in the High Court on several special leave applications and appeared for the appellants in Perre v Apand, (on recovery of economic loss). He is also admitted to practice in New Zealand.

He has particular interest and experience in Part IV and related provisions of the Trade Practices Act. He has presented an extensive range of papers in the area. He has been active in legal education and been requested to speak at legal seminars on federal law and practice and been active in the training of new members of the Bar as a mentor for new readers and instructor in the course.

He is a member of a number of professional bodies. He has been involved in the organisation of several conferences and seminars related to professional continuing education, including the annual trade practices workshop conducted by Uni SA and the conferences hosted by members of the J Reuben Clark Law Society in New Zealand and Australia.

Neville is currently a member of the international Chapter Relations Council of the J Reuben Clark Law Society. He, his wife Penny and children Kelly, Lane and Jacquie, are all active members of the LDS Church. Neville and Penny served missions - he in Germany and she in Italy. Their son Lane, who is currently studying law, recently returned from the Melbourne East Mission. Since his mission, Neville has served in a variety of callings in the Church, including as a bishop, member of a stake presidency and, most recently, as a multi stake director of public affairs.
